The Amalfi Coast is one of those places that doesn’t just live up to the hype—it blows past it. Cliffs drop into the sea. Villages spill down the hills. Lemon groves perfume the air. And every bend in the road feels like a postcard.
After ten days exploring, here are the top 10 spots you can’t miss:

Right next door to Amalfi, but smaller and quieter. In fact, it’s the smallest town in Italy. Whitewashed houses, arched roads, and a little beach perfect for swimming. It feels frozen in time.
9. Minori & Maiori

Two neighboring towns, less touristy but full of character. Minori is ancient—Romans vacationed here. Maiori has the longest beach on the coast. Walk the boardwalk, eat pasta by the sea, and enjoy fewer crowds.
8. Praiano

Laid-back and local. We stayed here and loved it. It’s quieter than Positano but still beautiful. Spiaggia di Praia feels tucked away. Narrow lanes twist down to the sand. It’s quiet, local, and a perfect swim spot. Rent a boat at sunset—the cliffs glow gold, and the whole coast lights up.
7. Positano

The crown of the Amalfi Coast. Color splashes down the cliffs—peach, yellow, coral. The beach is buzzing, umbrellas packed shoulder to shoulder. Wander the alleys, then slip away by boat. Out on the water, Positano looks like a dream. Pricey, but worth every euro.
6. Amalfi

History and scenery all in one. The cathedral towers over the square. Cafés spill into the streets. The whole town is framed by massive cliffs. Walk the pier at sunset—it’s pure magic.
5. Ravello

High above the sea, Ravello is calm and elegant. Villas with gardens and epic views. Villa Rufolo is the star—concerts are held here with the coastline as the backdrop. Grab gelato in the square and soak up the quiet charm.
4. Path of the Gods

The Amalfi Coast’s most famous hike. About 8 km, starting in Bomerano and ending in Nocelle. Views the whole way—villages, vineyards, and the sea stretching out below. Do it early, before the heat and the crowds. Finish with lemon slushies in Nocelle.
3. The Amalfi Drive

This is the Amalfi Coast at its best. A ribbon of road cut into the cliffs, the sea always below you. Every curve hits you with a new view. Villages spill down the rock, beaches hide in coves. It’s not just a drive—it’s the whole coastline in one ride.
2. Fiordo di Furore

A secret fjord carved into the cliffs. Turquoise water glows below a stone bridge. The beach is small, quiet, and unforgettable. Cliff jump, swim, or float on your back. Drift under the bridge—it feels like a dream.
1. Capri

Not technically Amalfi, but close enough. And too good to skip. Take a boat around the island to see the Faraglioni rocks and secret caves. Swim in glowing water. Ride the chairlift up Monte Solaro for the best views. Capri feels like a dream.
The Amalfi Coast feels like a dream made real. Villages clinging to cliffs. Groves heavy with lemons. Water that glitters in every shade of blue. Walk it, sail it, or just wander with gelato in hand—no matter what, it steals your heart.
